‚Tre giorni veneziani‘ – Solo Exhibition 2019 – Villa Haiss Museum

Impressive images and an audio-visual installation bring the lagoon city to Walter Bischoff’s art museum in Zell am Harmersbach in artistic form.
‘Venice in Art’ was the title of the major summer exhibition held at the Ochsenhausen Abbey gallery in 2017. At the time, curator Winfried Heid wanted to add a special highlight to the three-month art event and commissioned the artist Tilmann Krieg, who has been represented by gallerist Walter Bischoff for many years, to create a video and sound installation about La Serenissima. The artist then spent three days photographing and filming Venice. He recorded original sounds: the life of the people, the water, the thudding of the vaporetti, dreamlike music and typical everyday noises.
Tilmann Krieg called his installation ‘Tre giorni veneziani’. Several thousand visitors saw it, and the press gave it considerable attention.
In 2019, the Villa Haiss Museum will present Tilmann Krieg’s installation, which is intended to delight and inspire both art enthusiasts and admirers of the lagoon city of Venice. It will evoke a longing for the city’s light, architecture, and distinctive character, as well as for this magnificent collection of works created through human ingenuity and imagination. The installation will open as part of Zell’s Museum Night and will remain on display at Villa Haiss for at least two months. At the same time, the museum will also exhibit paintings in the unmistakable style of the artist Tilmann Krieg.
